hello & welcome to my website!

I work in a variety of media including but not limited to: ceramics, drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, embroidery, fiber, & mixed media. I also occasionally collaborate with my very talented artist friends & family members. I love to be learning new techniques and mediums - usually the idea or project is what determines which materials I use. I make art for the pure joy of the making & because it is the most authentic way I know to express myself.

I’m interested in making art with found vintage materials, hilarious juxtapositions, geometric color theory studies, complicated doodles, layers, following an intuitive (sometimes arbitrary) logic, creating a sense of physical space without necessarily getting representational about it, both resisting preciousness & building preciousness / instilling value through careful attention, exploring what colors & shapes feel right next to each other, general sentimentality.

projects & media will of course continue to evolve as change is the only constant. I hope this site inspires you to create something!
